I just wanted to say thanks for the excellent job you did building my Hi End. There are VERY few people who I trust to build my models – and you are on that list.

You remember that Sharon you built me ~5 years ago? Ya… still flying, still rock solid. Brendon flew that model at the 2008 F3J worlds. We’ve beat the holy living crap out of that thing – and seems to be able to take anything we throw at it. If any model was a testament to your build quality – it’s that one – I can’t believe that thing is still in the air.

As you know, I’m super anal about how my planes are built, keeping them light, clean wires, etc… etc…. After all these years in the hobby, I know that build quality is what determines the day-to-day usability of any model and that’s why I almost always build my own planes.

The High End build you just finished is very clean – and very light. Just as I expected. CG and tow hook were right on the money and I didn’t have to pull of the servo covers to re-center the flaps! What a deal – buy the plane from you, and it shows up ready to flip a switch and fly.

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with the High End you put together for me. It is a very clean build. The CG is just right. I like that you left it slightly light in the nose so that one can add a nose skeg, and not be nose heavy. All servo mounts and linkages are free moving, and they center up great. The fit and finish is just awesome. It all adds up to an easy to set up, and great flying competition sailplane.

I just got my new High End and being as I did not have the time to build it I had John Luetke do the build for me.

When the High End came to me in the sport tube it was well packed and the biggest problem was that it took so long to get the new bird unpacked. After inspecting the H.E., I put it together to see how she looked and was very pleased at the high quality of this bird. All I can really say is that it matches or exceeds the best that is out there.

The build that John did it is one of, if not the best I have ever seen. The one thing I am sure of is that I could not come close to the quality of build that John does and after looking at how he did it, I am not sure I would want to try. In my mind just not worth trying and well worth the cost. Everything is first rate and I just can not say enough about the great build he did. I guess the best way I could describe it is that it look's like a factory build, matching the high quality of the High End.

One of the other great points about having John do the build for me was the set up. I had sent him my radio to load his program into the radio. When I got the field I fired up the radio and airplane and gave it a hand toss. Iit was almost spot on. John had said that he did not have the time to fly the bird but that he had eye balled the set up. Two clicks of down elevator and a few points on the flap/elevator curve and it was spot on. I have not changed anything. Tthe CG was spot on and the tow hook did not have to be moved at all. It is truly a pleasure to get a fantastic bird ready to fly. I only had six high start flights on a poor soaring day on it before I flew it in a contest, it was that close in set up.
